About Salene

A little bit about myself. I was born and raised at my fathers dog kennel in the San Fernando Valley. When you have a kennel you must live in the proper zoning, which meant there were no kids around for me to play with so the dogs were my playmates. I learned how to train by watching my father and uncles. Being a third generation dog trainer it came quite naturally. When other little girls were playing with dolls I was training my dog to roll a barrel down the driveway.
When I was older I bugged my dad until he make me an assistant trainer. I got to work on television shows and a couple of feature films.
In the mid seventies, when my father retired, I began a long career as an animation artist working for Hanna-Barbera and many other studios. After that ended I went back to what I loved, training dogs. When I am not training or pet sitting I am drawing cartoon of my clients dogs. I hope you enjoy the web site.
